does anyone know of an almost sure way to make extra cash on the internet?

I was in need of some extra cash and I was wondering if anyone knew of an almost sure way to make money online. I’m looking for answers based on someone’s own experience. I was thinking something like marketing online and using google adwords but I’m looking for specifics like keywords to use that someone knows will work.

You could sell your parent’s stuff on EBay.
eBay.com
If you want to learn adwords, perry marshall is pretty much considered the authority. Just add .com to his name for his site.
I’ve been marketing online for 9 years, and make a decent full time income. Depending on the product you are selling, will determine the keywords you’ll want to use.
However, even if I gave you specific keywords with the products to sell, you’ll still have a hard time earning money online. It’s not as simple as that, at least not anymore.
The first thing you need to do is research a product you want to promote. Look at the competition, determine the demand online, and see if you can find a unique selling point.
Next you want to do keyword research. You want to find keywords that are searched for thousands of times per month, yet have very little competition in terms of advertisers and other websites that cover the niche. The best free tool right now is google itself.
…
There are complete courses on how to do this, but in a nutshell, look for keywords that have at least 5000 phrase match searches and less that 50,000 competing websites. To determine the number of competing websites, simply type the keyword in quotes in the google search bar. Like this “dog training books”. Look in the upper right corner and you’ll see the number of results. In this case 80,700. This means there are 80,700 web pages that refer to that keyword.
There are plenty of automated tools that will do this in bulk and range in prices from $10 – $????. For now, just do it manually until you get the hang of it. That way you will make a better decision when you decide to purchase such a tool.
Once you’ve determined a keyword phrase that you feel you can compete in, buy the domain name with those keywords in the domain. This is very important initially, as google seems to give new sites a little boost in the rankings. So in this example you would buy dogtrainingbooks.com (taken of course). Another key point in buying a domain name is only buy .com, .org, .net (in that order). Don’t use dashes and totally avoid .info and other extensions. Again, there is a ton of research behind this rule of thumb that I can’t get into.
Now that you have your domain name, you will need to host it. I personally use hostgator.com. Once that’s setup, I recommend setting up a wordpress blog. This is easily done in the cpanel of hostgator through a menu called fantastico.
Now you need to learn about seo, plugins, and marketing. A good starting point is visiting forums dedicated to internet marketers. I regularly visit

my username is rob6188 if you’d like to shoot me a pm. I have to warn you though, these forums are frequently visited by spammers and crooks looking for newbies to steal money from. So be very careful, don’t believe everything you read. Look for posts that are rated highly and posts by members who’ve been there a long time to start with. Once you get a feel for quality posts, you’ll be able to spot the junk.
Each topic – seo, plugins, article marketing, – will have volumes of books written. The free ones I recommend can be found at

If you’re really new to affiliate marketing, I hope I’ve given a few stepping stones. I’ve been doing this for 9 years, and I still learn something new almost daily.
The single most important thing I can tell you as a newbie is don’t spend any money beyond your domain name registration and hosting. Get as much free stuff and advice as you can. Like asking questions here and in the forums. I can’t tell you how many people fall victim to purchasing ebooks and tools and never really learn to use them properly and give up. You need to build a foundation of knowledge so you can make an informed decision when purchasing the latest and greatest ebooks and tools.
I hope that helps. Feel free to email me if you have any other question.

Vicky, I believe you have the best answer from Rob.
Your desire to use adwords is a cost factor and the keywords are driven by the popular search term people are using.
Perry Marshall is one of the authorities in the use of adwords and doing Pay-Per-Click (PPC), he also is a cost to learn from.
Join eBay and learn how to sell what you have around the house, this is the least expensive for “some extra cash”. Also consider local flea markets; build up a bank to spend from and then look around for a mentor who is doing what you want to do and follow that person.
Now that is the long and short of it, but you said “extra” and “almost sure way”, so you will be the determining factor of that by your own due diligence. Every cost factor will take money away and your ability to take action on what you learn from the cost factors is what we call Return-on-Investment and therein is your real answer.
You have a good question and Rob has a working answer.
There are no short cuts There are no ‘get rich quick schemes’ that work and are legal. A few MLM/Pyramid by any other name scams (like one mentioned earlier) can make a few early people a few dollars but this is short lived and only rips of the later people (which is where your money comes from). Internet marketing is a well established and well proven process that is not really any different than any other kind of marketing business, only you never see your customers and your shop is a web site. Fundamentally the only way to work with no outlay (although as some mentioned earlier you will need a domain name and hosting (web site) That’s about $10 for a name and about $100 for 1 years hosting. That’s your outlay. Your plan is to create a web site based around low competition keyword. Load Your site with affiliate products or Adsense. SEO your site to get top slots in the Google (mainly) search results. All this you can Learn for free. Use and use all their free training on SEO and get their free tools. Use for hosting as they give you free web building software and video training. Join for affiliate products and use their training and tools. Go to sign up free and get internet marketing course, downloadable products and training. With all that mastered re- invest your earnings into more domains (web site name) . You can put as many web sites on the one hosting a you like. Then go to… and take the Video training and learn all about Adsense and Adwords. You can then re-invest some earning into PPC advertising and really accelerate your web sales. Biggest tip – don’t try and sell ‘make money’ products. the competition is too stiff. Leave that for the experts (no one new starter failure reason) – I speak from painfull experience
